Francesca Mountfort is a Melbourne-based cellist, performing artist and composer. She has toured Europe, Australia and NZ with a variety of genre spanning acts including gypsy, 1930's swing, cabaret punk, indie, and solo cello with dance. Francesca's solo project Nervous Doll Dancing began as a collaboration with dancer You Jay Lee in Wellington, 2002.
She won the 2003 NZ Fringe Award for music with a show that incorporated shadow puppetry, film and dance to her original live music, and in 2004 she produced her debut self titled album Nervous Doll Dancing. Francesca has since performed Nervous Doll Dancing solo shows at Australian festivals including Apollo Bay, Darebin Music Feast, Sustainable Living Festival, Electundra and Sanctuary Festival.
